Historic photos

During Lockdown 2020 I had an opportunity to make a start on one of my retirement projects: to scan many hundreds of negatives and slides I had taken since the mid-1970s.

Some of these are of historic interest and records events from a long time ago right up to relatively recent events like the demolition to make way for the Asda store in Newton Abbot in 2005.

    Enjoying

This is where I write about the things I like in life: food & drink; pubs; music; film; HiFi; gadgets; home & garden. Quality really counts here.

    Travelling

I have very much enjoyed my trips to Trinidad, the USA, France and other countries. And I must not forget: there are plenty of great places to visit here in Britain.

    Journal

I only really started keeping a diary in earnest at the beginning of the Great Lockdown. Whilst personal, I sometimes write things that I think might be of wider interest.

    LSE Diary

I kept a diary for pretty much all of the time I was at the London School of Economics, from 1975 to 1978. I had not read them until late 2020 when I found a wealth of gems that I will share during 2021.
