Having a shower and washing clothes on the same day seems a bit extravagant, so to balance the books I think I might have a can of soup for dinner!

Weather Forecast!
Some of my grand-parents generation made their own weather forecasts based on reading a barometer. No app was required. But now, even with more data at our finger tips, some people seem incapable of making a sensible forecast, and even blame it on the app!

Easter break – and that meant finding work! Got a temp job at Harrap Publishers
50 Years Ago – Unlike some of my fellow students my parents were unable to subsidise the student grant, so it was essential to find work outside of term time. Today I managed to get work at Harrap Publishers in Upper Holborn.

Dull Routine?
This morning I was thinking that my life has become rather dull and routine. However, my working life was also routine, and sometimes dull. There is a key difference between working life and retired life.

Wild Garlic Anyone?
Over the last five years or so my lawn has shrunk and now starts over a metre away from the fence. Why? Because of wild garlic. Within a few years my entire garden will be a sort of wild garlic monoculture, which I am not keen on.
