Newton Abbot in Old Pictures: Market Square in 1989

I never liked this, the ‘new’ Market Square. The pre-1980’s Market Square was considerably larger and more open, with seating and glorious London Plane trees that were cut down for this monstrosity. However, it was certainly busy and, on this day at least, crammed with stalls.
