The phrase April Showers does not apply this year. Blustery April would seem a more appropriate albeit clumsy phrase. In writing my diary I sometimes look things up in books, a pleasurable experience that helps define me as an individual. AI might take that away from me.

Washing Woollens!
It dawned on me this morning that since winter is well and truly over I should finally get around to washing woollens. One of the items to be washed is a cherished quality and stylish cardigan made with natural materials. No plastic. It is 25+ years old – can I find a replacement for it?

Swansea field trip: the final days fading away into beer and a failed attempt to get home
The fag-end of the geography field trip seems to have just faded away. I was wandering around trying to find potential tourist attractions – for a forthcoming essay – and failing to hitch back to London. Back at home I learned that sadly my flatmates had lost Tigger in Market Rasen.

Anaerobic Digestion!
My garden waste bin remains firmly planted on the pavement awaiting collection. It struck me that if I have a garden waste bin I should probably not have a food waste bin. But why?

Over-sensitive?
After good conversation last night I should this morning feel ‘up’, so why do I find I feel slightly ill at ease? Am I over-sensitive?
