USA 2016 part 17: Tuesday 22nd November
This was very much a day to socialise, and that meant alcohol! I met up with a friend from university days I had not seen in about 25 years, so we had a lot of catching-up to do! I also took time out to take a few snaps of the Luxor at night as well as a very good pizza restaurant.

The picture above was very difficult to ‘improve’. I did not appreciate it at the time (too much beer?) but there was a very powerful arc-lamp lighting up the side-wall of the ‘English Pub’, which consequently left me and Nic in deep shade. I have managed to bring out a bit of light in the foreground. An important memory for me. Nic: if I ever make it to Vegas again we must take this shot again!
The ‘English Pub’ was actually quite enjoyable; I would certainly be a regular if I lived here! Good beer, good service, good atmosphere and, for those who like that sort of thing, football on a big screen. And by football I mean real football, not the ‘American Football’ that is almost unknown across the rest of the world. Unlike football. Which is played by almost every country on Earth.

I was also able to catch up with my son Martyn and his friend at a Mexican cocktail bar which was very good indeed, with great Mexican beer and cocktails. I mixed beer and cocktails – and enjoyed every moment!
