La Seyne, France
Back in the early 80’s I spent a fair bit of time in this town right next door to Toulon. Toulon is a navy town and La Seyne was where they built the ships. I spent many happy hours here, exploring and sitting in bars and cafe’s watching life go by.
I was lucky enough to have a girlfriend who spent a year at the University of Nice, so I got to know the south of France quite well. These pictures were taken as part of a road trip from Devon to La Seyne, where a friend had a girlfriend…
Incidentally, the picture of the chap with the cane in front of the newsagent and faded Cinzano sign is one of my all-time favourite photos.
